APRIL 30, 2010 - [[weather updates]] Today is sunny with some wind. Todays temperature stays near 64 degrees. Todays high is 70 degrees and todays low is 50 degrees. [[surf reports]] Todays low is 5:35 am : -1.03 feet. Todays high is 0:04 pm : 3.50 feet. The water temperature is 57 - 60 degrees. Surf is 3 - 4 feet, waist to shoulder high.

APRIL 29, 2010 - [[weather updates]] Today is sunny and has strong winds. temperatures should stay around 62 degrees. [[surf reports]] Todays high is 10:22 am : 4.06 feet. todays low is 4:06 am : -1.17 feet. Water temperature is 57-60 degrees.
Today is rediculously windy. i mean come on, we are pretty much having a sand storm right now. The wind is so strong it is picking up sand and blowing it all over the shops, the boardwalk and over all the people. I normally tell you to come visit the boardwalk, but unless you like the wind, then i wouldnt come down.
Anyways, just another reminder, we are getting ready to take pictures of Sharkman and YOU. all the pictures we take will be uploaded onto our website, myspace page, facebook page, and to our twitter page. If you dont want them uploaded then let us know.

People skating at the skate park, people walking around and shopping, some people riding bikes and even roller blading/skating... There are so many interesting people, so you could just sit down and people watch.. Come on down and enjoy the sunny day we have today..

APRIL 26, 2010 - [[weather updates]] Today is a much more gloomy day then the past few days. Down here at the beach, it is a little bit chilly. Todays high is 66 degrees and todays low is 55 degrees with a 10% chance of rain... [[surf reports]] Todays high is 8:42 am : 4.44 feet. Todays low is 2:37 am : -0.43 feet. The water temperature is 57 degrees to 60 degrees.
As of two days ago, Maui and Sons recieved several new styles of Madrid Skateboards, all completes. Every single one has a different design, a different size, and a different shape. They are all totally rad!
On a different note, who hear hates mondays? I know I do... they are always so slow and boring.. I believe you should get in your car, get on a bike, skateboard, or any way of transportation and come make Monday more fun..

APRIL 23, 2010 - [[ weather updates]] I just checked out our local weather channel, and it is all good news. Today we are going to have sun all day long. The high of today is 63 degrees and the low of the day is 52 degrees... [[surf reports]] Todays high is 5:40 am : 4.38 ft, todays low is 1:00 am : 1.87 ft. The water temperature is 57 - 60 degrees.
On the topic of Maui and Sons, we just got in some new 80's style decks that are, might i add, totally killer.. Hope you aren't camera shy! We would love to have our customers share the joy of the warm weather by taking awesome pictures of you and none other than SHARKMAN!!! All pictures will be uploaded onto our website, myspace page, and facebook page.

Soo anyways, today is a little bit chilly so i hope everyone brings their cozy clothes to keep them warm.. No one needs to be catching a cold with summer just around the corner..
The latest on the store: This past week we recieved new skateboards, which might i add are pretty freakin' cooool. Also, on the subject of skateboards we have a couple Termite completes (which includes Grind King trucks) and Sugar completes on sale for $100.00 and a few Santa Cruise boards on sale for $130.00.. So you better hurry up and get in the store before these boards ride off...

APRIL 16, 2010 - Okay, so we know its been a while since we last logged in, but come on who really wants to be inside on the internet when we've had such gorgeous weather? NOT US!
Today is a wonderful day for the beach, so come on down and join the crowd. Lots of people at the skate park, many on the beach, and a ton walking around checking out the shops...
Well anyways, just last week we received our 30th Anniversary Vintage Collection. We have tons of girls bathing suits ranging from XS-XL, mens board shorts in sizes 28-38, and mens t-shirts in S-XXL... so come on in or check us out on the website!!
SEPTEMBER 4, 2009 - Announcing the OPENING of the Venice Skate Plaza October 3, 2009 11am.
January 2009 - This month Maui and Sons Surf Shop witnessed the groundbreaking of the much anticipated NEW Venice Beach Skateboard Park (located directly in front of the Surf Shop).
"With Councilmember Rosendahl (11th District), City Engineer Gary Lee Moore, Geri Lewis (Executive Director of Venice Surf & Skateboard Association) and Professional Skateboarder Jesse Martinez officially broke ground for the Venice Beach Skate Park. The $2 + million skate park will be approx. 16,000 square feet, will feature bowls, ramps, rails, platforms and steps. While the project is suppose to take 9 months to complete. Project managers have told me the Maui & Sons Crew that it could be done as early as June 2009. The new park will be in-ground concrete and will include an entry plaza, walls, fencing, walkways and landscaping. All of these features create a unique design that incorporates street and vert skating, allowing skateboarders to flow in and out of the different styles." chamber of commerce

November 10, 2008 - Hi It was a super busy summer on the boardwalk. Great weather with perfect swells reminded us that life is amazing and we can enjoy the journey...
As you know our Online store launched and it has been going great so far. Thanks to everyone who has stopped by. Wanted to let you know that we are (well Cheryl is) uploading and adding new product daily. We have almost 250 products that are coming your way in easy to view sections. After many emails and requests we will be adding a comments section. Here you will be able to write about your favorite Maui and Sons Story. We have had great emails of "I wore that cookie shirt in 8th grade and got my first kiss." Should be interesting to hear what you all remember. Maybe tell us what your favorite shirt was. Do you still have it?
